Early October Update!

I’m hoping to be updating more frequently now, especially since there will be lots of new things added (and a few things demolished). I don’t have to spend copious amounts of time plot resetting, so that should make my updates more frequent. A few quick notes: -My dream address changed (again…). It is now 4200-4705-7130 but it has been updated! I updated before I started making all the big changes and I will update again when I am finished with them 🙂 -I will be at home (which means I have wifi 😀 ) this coming weekend (10/10 – 10/12) and next weekend (10/17 – 10/19), so if you want to wifi, tell me and we’ll see if we can find a good time 🙂 -I am looking to grow more blue roses but I just have the one so far, so if anyone has any tips on growing blue roses, that would be awesome! If I could get one more blue rose, I could breed those two, but no luck yet…Also still need gold roses but I’ll need to start my second town first, which reminds me… -Hoping to start Lilywood soon, but, as always, I find myself being super picky…It’s also super annoying that you only have a 1/5 chance of getting apples, which is my main requirement for Lilywood. Hopefully I’ll find a town soon! I want to start growing gold roses and more hybrids!

Introducing: Autumn and Noelle!

I’ve had Autumn in my town for awhile, but have not gotten around to doing too much with her until now. I finally came up with some concept ideas for Autumn (beyond the fall theme, which is very broad). I want her character and house to have a “country style” and “harvest” feel to it (of course with one room of Halloween furniture). I love the combination of her bright blue eyes (color of the fall sky) with her orange/red braids (the color of the changing leaves). The braid hairstyle also strikes me as very “country” as well. I still need to upgrade her house to a castle so I can have a castle for every season.

Noelle FINALLY gets to move out of her tent and into a house 😀 It needs a few more renovations to the outside (blue arched fairytale door and a fancy fence), but it’s coming along nicely! I’m thinking of changing her hair color to light blue, but we’ll see. I like the fancy hairstyle since it reminds me of getting dressed up for holiday parties! Noelle’s concept is going to be Holiday party/snow themed with maybe a cozy library and/or a bathhouse for relaxing on those cold winter nights. I’m also toying with the idea of a star room, since the stars are often out early and very bright during the winter, but we’ll see! Villager Happenings Not a ton of villager happenings in this post, but I’ll put up the few I have! HNI_0074

I sure hope so, Beau! I still get a party and cake at 26 but I’m not sure if that counts as being “grown up” lol 😀

I’m confused as to why Lily has a frog costume in her house when she is already a frog? She needs a better Halloween costume than that! Wait until you see what Lenore has in store for her Halloween costume 😀

Kiki was taking a walk in front of town hall and was right under the Luna flag! I can’t get over how much they look alike! So cute!!! ❤

Well, Julian, we are in my spring/flower room so that MIGHT have something to do with it!

Around Town

Lots of stuff has been happening around town!

This cardboard table appeared at my retail this morning!

I got my last statue about a week ago! Now I just need to collect paintings 😀

I love how you can see the lighthouse from the dock! Helps Kapp’n see at night! HNI_0071

The first double rainbow I’ve seen in Citaluna!

Finally finished Noelle’s winter illumination garden! Need to add a few more white/blue flowers and put down some cool patterns once the snow falls!

I took down the PWPs in front of town hall and decided to go with some nice landscaping and some cute water patterns! I love it and it looks so much better now 🙂 HNI_0060

Town hall was especially pretty that night! Love the tiny crescent moon! I want to put in blue roses with the pink tulips to match the town hall roof!

One of my favorite spots in town!

The waterfall picnic area is coming along! I want to add some more trees and bushes. That darn rock is going to be a pain to work around though 😦

Coming Soon!

I put this fence in as a garden for Resee, but there is too much fence and not enough garden and it takes up a lot of room. Plus the fence is sort of ugly…(it looks good in other towns filled with fruit baskets and such, so I think it’s just that the space is too small). I also could not find any pumpkin patch or vegetable garden qr codes. I’m thinking of putting a windmill here (kind of nice fall PWP) and then putting some flowers/bushes/trees around it.

I’m going to move these topiaries somewhere else. The water pattern around them sticks out (it really bugs me) and I want more room for roses and trees since it’s a rose garden. I want the flower arch to be the center of attention since it has all the roses on it!

I just came up with this idea for the area surrounding the river on the other side of Lenore’s property! I’ll have to see how it turns out, but I’ve got some landscaping and PWP ideas I am excited to try! I’ll update and post pictures as it develops!

Ideas Welcome!

There a few places around town that I need to add some more things to because they seem kind of boring…HNI_0002

This area just above Melody’s summer castle-I was thinking maybe some landscaping, since I am almost at my PWP limit 😦

Melody’s front yard needs some work. I have a pattern of bushes I want to try using but now sure how good it will look…

This little area just to the left of Noelle’s property by the front of town

And the other side in front of the train station. I’m going to need to use patterns since there is no room to plant/build anything. The flower clock is just below the yellow cosmos.

  1. Waaaaah Your Town’s Looking Greeeaaaat!!

The Fence IS Ugly But I Build it in My Town And Turned it Into A Dump! Y’Know In the gamecube There was Dump And stuff like that xD So yeah! You should do that and put Furniture , Clothes , Etc…It’s Like Reese Takes stuff from the dump and sells them :p

Autumn Reminds me of Fern From Amy’s Town…I Wonder Why xD

Isn’t Noelle Wearing Elsa’s Dress From Frozen? It’s so Cute Omg..

Soooooo Excited For Lilywood…Do you have any Ideas for the town yet?
    I’m Imagining There’s Pretty Flowers And A Star-Shaped Pond..

So Here’s My suggestion For The Upcoming Town!

My Suggestion: A Town Filled With Pink and Yellow Cosmos With Mini Star-Shaped Ponds And Red Tulips , Alongside with a Beautiful Forest Filled with Pine Cedar Trees And Red Rose.

    1. I think I’m going to put the windmill where the fence is. Having stuff all over the ground is bad for your town rating/ I want to keep my perfect town rating since Jacob’s Ladder flowers only grow in a perfect town. I was really trying to avoid Autumn looking like Fern (with different eyes, eye color, and hairstyle-her hairstyle was a ponytail but I switched to the braided wig to avoid getting messy hair after TT’ing/not playing her character for awhile). The braided hair style has really grown on me though. Maybe I should switch her hair color to orange? I wonder if I could make some start shape pond qr codes. I’ve never seen any before but it’s a cute idea 🙂 I’m not the best at making qr codes though so we’ll see 😛 I’m glad you are excited about Lilywood! I am too-just wish I could find a town map I like that has apples and no brown town hall!

  2. Aww, your town is looking so great! I was happy to have a dream address update to visit when I woke up this morning on my day off ^_^ Besides the obvious stand-out places in town like the four seasonal houses, my favorite little spots were the updated town hall area (I especially loved the little water ponds surrounded by bushes — what a cool idea to make the water patterns look more natural!), and the golden garden behind the town hall with the fairytale bench. It’s exciting Noelle has a house now, and it looks so nice so far with the illumination PWPs at night; I look forward to seeing the finished exterior. 🙂 And Autumn’s candy cottage is looking adorable this time of year ^^

Some tentative suggestions for the areas you’re unsure about:
    – I think the topiaries could potentially look pretty cool in that garden, just maybe without the water patterns around them. Instead, you could have roses around them, since it’s a rose garden after all ^_^ But if you want to get rid of the topiaries, maybe planting some more cherry trees around the flower arch — just a few, to “frame” the arch — would look good and help make the arch the center of attention
    – The area above Melody’s house: maybe a pool, like a hot spring PWP or water patterns, since playing in the water is associated with summer & would go well with the mermaid theme. Or you could just do a summery garden type thing! Some hibiscus bushes, a mix of sunny flowers & cool colored flowers to match the castle, etc.
    – For the area to the left of Noelle’s house, I don’t know how you feel about tree stumps for decoration, but some of the cedar tree stumps are pretty cute. There’s one of a star, one of a cat, one of a flower, etc. You could put one (or a couple) of the cedar tree stumps, surround it by cedar trees, and plant some wintry white flowers around or something.
    – For the train station, I agree that it’s difficult because only patterns can go on top of the pavement. :/ I’m not sure what to do with my own train station pavement yet either. I guess you could experiment with the patterns and tiles you already have, and decorative touches like water patterns to be a little “moat” around the station.

Woww, and congratulations on all those statues! 😀 I still have several more to go, including the lovely (real) Venus de Milo.

    1. Thanks so much! I just saw your dream diary update so I’ll have to go read that! My town is still very much a work in progress but it’s getting there! I’ll update my dream again when my construction is done (and hopefully the trees will be red/orange by then as well). I love some of your suggestions for the areas of my town:
-I love the idea of using cooler summer colors for around Melody’s house! Maybe I can make a hibiscus bush lined path leading to the picnic area as well 🙂
-The winter garden idea sounds lovely! I’ll need to stock up on silver axes next time I see them at the island so I can get patterns easier!
-The train station is a tough one-I do like the idea of using my water patterns so maybe I’ll give that a go!
-Great idea to frame the rose arch with cherry trees! If I wasn’t so close to my PWP limit, I’d keep the topiaries there but I really want them for another spot (hate the 30 PWP limit 😦
-I really like Autumn’s candy house but all the other houses are castles so I’ll need to change it eventually-I hope it still looks good as a castle!

      1. Glad some of the suggestions might be helpful! 🙂
Here’s what the candy castle should look like, roughly: http://i.imgur.com/mNN6GQo.jpg This person is missing the sweets fence, though.
I remembered your saying you’d be home this weekend, so if you’re free today, we could WiFi if you want? ^^

      2. Oh okay, sounds like it was a long day! If you want to rest this morning, that’s fine 🙂 But if you’d like to WiFi, feel free to let me know! ^^

  3. Suggestions for Citaluna (Yes Another one lol)

I Just have few and they won’t be good 😦

-The area just to the left of Noelle’s :

-Why Not Put A Snowman Design? Or A Pond Shaped Like A Snowflake (EVERYTHING ABOUT ME IS PONDS URGH)

-Ooor Try Planting White Lilies With Blue Violets/Roses

-Or Put Crystal Patterns….But here’s an idea: If You see a fake rock Near Noelle’s House (AKA Gem Rock) Make desings of Sapphires or Rubies Or Silver.

    As For Melody’s Front yard:

-Patterns of Seaweed ? Or Seashells , Seashells don’t Ruin The Perfect rating of a town so maybe that would work :/

That’s it they’re Lame But I Hope you appreciate the suggestion :”)
